Backend Lead — Node.js | ₹30 LPA
We’re looking for a strong Backend Lead with hands-on expertise in Node.js to lead backend engineering, architecture, and development. The ideal candidate should be comfortable writing production-grade code while also taking ownership of technical decisions and mentoring engineers.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the design and development of scalable backend applications using Node.js.
Design and build robust REST APIs, backend services, and integrations.
Own backend architecture, technical decisions, scalability, performance, and reliability.
Work with databases, third-party integrations, authentication, and distributed backend services.
Conduct code reviews and establish strong engineering and coding practices.
Collaborate closely with frontend, product, QA, and other engineering teams.
Troubleshoot production issues and drive performance and reliability improvements.
Mentor backend engineers and provide technical direction to the team.
Contribute to system design and long-term technical architecture.
What We’re Looking For
Strong hands-on experience with Node.js.
Excellent knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript.
Strong experience building REST APIs and scalable backend services.
Good understanding of databases, data modelling, caching, authentication, and API security.
Experience with system design and building production-grade applications.
Familiarity with Git, CI/CD, cloud environments, and modern development practices.
Strong debugging, problem-solving, and architectural thinking.
Prior experience leading backend development or mentoring engineers.
