Role Description The Sourcing Manager role is a full-time, on-site position based in Gurugram. The role involves identifying and evaluating suppliers, negotiating contracts and pricing, and managing vendor relationships to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery. Day-to-day tasks include analyzing market trends, maintaining sourcing databases, preparing sourcing strategies, and collaborating with clients or internal stakeholders to understand requirements and align procurement plans. The Sourcing Manager will review bids and proposals, monitor supplier performance, resolve issues related to supply, and ensure compliance with agreed terms and relevant policies. The role also requires regular reporting on sourcing activities, cost savings, risks, and opportunities, while continuously improving sourcing processes and supporting overall business objectives.
Qualifications
Strong skills in supplier identification, evaluation, and relationship management, with the ability to negotiate favorable terms and contracts.
Experience in strategic sourcing, procurement planning, and cost analysis, including the use of data to support sourcing decisions.
Proficiency in using spreadsheets, procurement or ERP tools, and maintaining accurate sourcing and vendor records.
Solid understanding of supply chain fundamentals, market research, and risk assessment related to sourcing activities.
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and collaboration skills to work effectively with clients, suppliers, and cross-functional teams.
Strong organizational and time-management abilities, with attention to detail and capacity to handle multiple sourcing projects simultaneously.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or a related field; relevant certifications in procurement or supply chain (such as CPSM, CIPS) are an advantage.
Prior experience in a sourcing, procurement, or vendor management role, preferably in a fast-paced or consulting environment.
