Role Description The Research and Development Specialist (Footwear) is a full-time, on-site role based in Kanpur Nagar, focused on designing and improving footwear products and materials. On a day-to-day basis, the specialist conducts research on new materials, technologies, and trends, and performs laboratory testing to evaluate durability, comfort, and performance. The role includes analyzing test data, developing prototypes, and working closely with design, production, and quality teams to refine product specifications and ensure manufacturability. The specialist prepares technical documentation, communicates findings and recommendations, and supports continuous improvement initiatives across the footwear product range.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Research and Development (R&D) and Research skills focused on footwear products and materials.
Candidates should possess solid Analytical Skills to interpret test results, assess product performance, and support data-driven decisions.
Candidates should possess effective Communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and present technical findings clearly.
Candidates should possess practical Laboratory Skills, including handling testing equipment, following protocols, and documenting results accurately.
Relevant qualifications such as a degree or diploma in Footwear Technology, Materials Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Understanding of footwear manufacturing processes, quality standards, and material properties.
Ability to work on-site in Kanpur Nagar, manage multiple projects, and meet development timelines.
Proficiency with basic computer applications and, ideally, familiarity with design or testing software used in footwear development.
