Volunteer: Recruitment Strategy for Key Roles

When recruiting for board or volunteers, we rely mainly on our existing networks and traditional outreach but want to expand our reach to a wider, more skills-aligned pool of candidates. We are looking for board advisors with experience in technology, finance, legal, marketing, development.
A practical recruitment strategy for board advisors that our team can put into action. The volunteer will: - review the role and our current recruitment approach - identify the most important skills and qualifications needed for success - recommend 3-5 candidate sources or outreach channels aligned to those skills The final strategy will include target candidate profiles, four clear outreach tactics, and simple ways to track responses so we can refine our approach over time.
