Role Description The WordPress Developer Intern will work full time in a remote capacity, supporting the design, development, and maintenance of WordPress-based websites for WynSwell and its clients. Day-to-day tasks include building and customizing WordPress themes and plugins, implementing responsive layouts, and ensuring cross-browser and cross-device compatibility. The intern will collaborate with senior developers and consultants to translate business requirements into functional web features, optimize site performance, and support SEO-friendly structures. Additional responsibilities include troubleshooting technical issues, performing regular updates and content changes, and maintaining clean, well-documented code aligned with best practices. The role offers exposure to real-world client projects and an opportunity to learn modern web development workflows in a supportive environment.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Web Development skills, including familiarity with the WordPress ecosystem and general website architecture.
Candidates should possess Front-End Development skills, such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and experience implementing Responsive Web Design.
Candidates should possess Web Design skills, including basic UI/UX principles and the ability to create clean, user-friendly layouts.
Candidates should possess Back-End Web Development skills relevant to WordPress, such as PHP basics, working with databases, and integrating APIs.
Additional beneficial qualifications include knowledge of version control (e.g., Git), an understanding of SEO best practices, strong problem-solving abilities, and effective written and verbal communication skills.
Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree or certification in Computer Science, Information Technology, Web Development, or a related field is preferred.
