Welding Engineer

Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Welding Engineer Consultant to partner directly with clients across multiple industries, optimizing welding processes, solving technical challenges, and driving project success. You will apply deep welding expertise and industry best practices to develop, qualify, and maintain welding procedures while ensuring compliance with applicable codes and standards. This role involves significant travel to client sites and offers flexibility for remote work when not on location.
Required Qualifications:
Demonstrated experience in welding engineering, welding inspection, or related technical field.
Proficiency in multiple welding processes (GMAW, LBW, GTAW, SAW, FCAW, etc.) and related equipment.
Strong knowledge of industry codes and standards (AWS, ASME, API, NAVSEA, ISO, etc.).
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and in a team setting.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Welding Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) or equivalent certification.
Experience with metallurgical analysis and advanced inspection methods.
Work Environment:
Travel up to 75% to client facilities across diverse industries worldwide.
Work Location: Home / remote / customer location (on-site).
Flexible scheduling for non-site assignments.
