The Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Implementation Consultant to lead complex solution implementations from discovery and requirements gathering through configuration, integration, testing, deployment, training, adoption, and post-launch stabilization.
The ideal candidate will combine consulting, project-delivery, business-analysis, solution-implementation, and stakeholder-management capabilities to ensure clients successfully implement solutions that meet their operational, technical, and strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end implementation programs for technology, software, business, and operational solutions.
Manage implementation activities from initial discovery and requirements definition through go-live and stabilization.
Understand client objectives, business processes, operational requirements, and desired outcomes.
Conduct discovery workshops, stakeholder interviews, process assessments, and requirements-gathering sessions.
Translate client requirements into structured functional, technical, and implementation specifications.
Analyze existing processes and identify opportunities for standardization, optimization, and automation.
Develop implementation strategies, roadmaps, project plans, milestones, dependencies, and delivery schedules.
Establish implementation scope, deliverables, acceptance criteria, responsibilities, and success measures.
Coordinate multidisciplinary implementation teams across consulting, product, engineering, technology, data, operations, and client functions.
Act as a senior implementation contact for client stakeholders and project sponsors.
Build strong working relationships with client executives, business users, technical teams, operational leaders, and project managers.
Facilitate project kickoffs, requirements workshops, solution-design sessions, status meetings, and steering committees.
Configure or oversee configuration of solutions based on approved business requirements.
Coordinate solution customization, workflow configuration, data structures, user roles, permissions, and business rules where applicable.
Work with technical teams to define and manage integration requirements.
Coordinate integrations with ERP, CRM, HRIS, finance, data, APIs, third-party platforms, and other enterprise systems.
Review integration specifications and ensure interfaces support agreed business processes.
Coordinate data migration, cleansing, mapping, transformation, validation, and reconciliation activities.
Establish data-migration plans and ensure data readiness before deployment.
Coordinate solution testing, including functional testing, system integration testing, regression testing, and user acceptance testing.
Develop test plans, test scenarios, acceptance criteria, and defect-management processes.
Support clients in preparing test data, business scenarios, and user acceptance activities.
Track defects, issues, dependencies, and resolution activities through implementation.
Identify implementation risks early and develop mitigation and contingency plans.
Maintain RAID logs covering risks, assumptions, issues, dependencies, decisions, and actions.
Manage scope changes and assess their impact on timelines, resources, costs, integrations, and delivery outcomes.
Support formal change-control processes and maintain accurate implementation documentation.
Coordinate solution demonstrations and obtain stakeholder feedback throughout implementation.
Validate that implemented functionality meets approved requirements and expected business outcomes.
Coordinate user training, administrator training, knowledge transfer, and operational readiness activities.
Develop training plans, user guides, process documentation, FAQs, and implementation materials.
Support organizational change-management activities associated with new systems and processes.
Identify adoption barriers and develop targeted solutions to improve user acceptance.
Coordinate deployment planning, cutover activities, go-live readiness, and implementation rehearsals.
Develop detailed cutover plans covering data migration, system configuration, integrations, communications, support, and contingency procedures.
Conduct go-live readiness assessments and escalate unresolved risks or dependencies.
Coordinate go-live activities and provide structured implementation support during deployment.
Lead hypercare and post-launch stabilization activities.
Monitor system performance, user adoption, operational issues, and business-process effectiveness after go-live.
Coordinate issue resolution between clients, internal technical teams, product teams, vendors, and implementation partners.
Ensure implementation issues are tracked through resolution and formally closed.
Measure solution adoption and identify opportunities for optimization after implementation.
Conduct post-implementation reviews and document lessons learned.
Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, configuration optimization, and solution enhancement.
Develop implementation standards, templates, playbooks, checklists, and reusable methodologies.
Promote consistent implementation practices across projects and client engagements.
Monitor project progress against agreed scope, timelines, budgets, quality standards, and business outcomes.
Prepare executive status reports, implementation dashboards, steering-committee materials, and delivery updates.
Communicate implementation progress, risks, decisions, dependencies, and required actions clearly to stakeholders.
Manage client expectations and ensure alignment between business needs and technical delivery capabilities.
Coordinate third-party vendors, system integrators, consultants, and technology partners.
Define vendor deliverables, implementation responsibilities, service expectations, timelines, and acceptance requirements.
Monitor implementation-partner performance and resolve delivery escalations.
Support commercial activities including statements of work, implementation estimates, resource planning, project budgets, and change requests.
Contribute to proposals, solution approaches, implementation methodologies, project estimates, and presales activities.
Identify additional client requirements and opportunities for solution expansion where appropriate.
Maintain comprehensive project documentation, requirements records, configuration decisions, testing evidence, training materials, and implementation records.
Ensure implementation activities comply with applicable security, privacy, regulatory, contractual, and organizational requirements.
Mentor consultants, business analysts, implementation specialists, and junior delivery team members.
Provide leadership with regular reporting on implementation progress, risks, client satisfaction, adoption, quality, and business outcomes.
