AnswerThink, a division of The Hackett Group, is seeking a strategic and visionary Lead/ Director / Senior Director of SAP FICO to lead our Enterprise Solutions practice. This leadership role drives SAP Financials (FICO) and S/4HANA Finance transformations for mid-market and enterprise clients. You will blend executive client management, practice development, and hands-on delivery oversight.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Practice Growth
Define the strategic roadmap for AnswerThink's SAP FICO and S/4HANA Finance delivery capabilities.
Mentor, recruit, and scale a high-performing team of SAP FICO functional consultants.
Develop specialized accelerators and templates based on The Hackett Group’s proprietary benchmarking data.
Client Delivery Oversight
Serve as the Executive Sponsor or Delivery Lead on complex, large-scale SAP S/4HANA Finance implementations.
Align client financial processes (Record-to-Report, Cost Accounting, Treasury) with SAP best practices.
Manage project profitability, resource allocation, and timeline risks across multiple concurrent engagements.
Business Development Support
Partner with the sales team, to scope complex projects, write Statements of Work (SOWs), and deliver RFP presentations.
Identify expansion opportunities within existing client accounts by advocating for advanced SAP finance modules.
Position AnswerThink as a premier SAP partner through thought leadership and industry networking.
Qualifications & Requirements
Experience
Minimum 8-15+ years of deep SAP FICO implementation experience.
Have led 3-7 Full Life-Cycle Implementations
At least 5 years in a consulting leadership or director-level capacity.
Proven track record leading at least 3 full-lifecycle SAP S/4HANA Finance conversions or greenfield implementations.
Technical Skills
Deep mastery of Core FICO (GL, AP, AR, AA, New GL, Document Splitting).
Strong Management Accounting expertise (CCA, PCA, Internal Orders, Product Costing, CO-PA).
Familiarity with Central Finance, Group Reporting, Treasury, or BPC is highly desirable.
Education & Certifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Management Information Systems, or a related field.
SAP S/4HANA Finance certification is heavily preferred.
CPA, CMA, or MBA is a strong differentiator.
Soft Skills
Exceptional boardroom-level communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
Ability to translate complex corporate accounting requirements into elegant technical solutions.
