Analytics and Insights Lead - Vice President

Role Overview
This VP role is responsible for leading analytics & insights activities for the COO organization. The primary set of deliverables in this role pertain to insights, reporting and analysis for the COO function.
The incumbent applies deep expertise in data management, reporting, and analytics to drive the development, quality, and continuous improvement of reporting capabilities and processes.
The role requires the ability to operate with a high degree of independence, manage complex data challenges, and influence outcomes across a matrixed organisation.
The individual will be hands on as well as lead some data and reporting professionals, providing strategic direction and hands-on guidance to ensure the delivery of accurate, timely, and insightful reporting outputs.
The role demands strong leadership, AI literacy, and the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for senior stakeholders. The incumbent is expected to drive innovation and efficiency across reporting processes, including the adoption of emerging AI & automation tools.
Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end data and reporting activities including data analysis, metric development, reporting design, data quality management, and continuous improvement of reporting processes and workflows using AI and Automation tools
Serve as subject matter expert for reporting outputs and metrics — ensuring accuracy, consistency, and alignment with agreed definitions and business requirements across all reporting deliverables
Own and manage the full reporting lifecycle including data validation, metric computation, quality assurance, and stakeholder distribution
Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities for new reporting releases and data platform changes, including test design, execution, and business sign-off
Drive process improvement and AI / Automation initiatives to enhance the efficiency, scalability, and accuracy of reporting workflows — including the evaluation and adoption of AI tools and emerging technologies
Provide strong data-driven insights and analysis to senior stakeholders, supporting decision-making and enabling identification and mitigation of risk
Recommended Qualifications
10+ years of experience in data management, reporting, analytics, or a related field, with a track record of delivering high-quality reporting in a complex, large-scale environment
Strong hands-on proficiency in Python, GenAI, data querying, validation, and analysis across large datasets — must be comfortable working directly with data
Hands-on experience with data visualisation and business intelligence tools such as Tableau for dashboard development, metric tracking, and reporting — Tableau proficiency is a strong advantage
Solid understanding of data architecture, ETL processes, and data pipelines — sufficient to coordinate effectively with engineering and technology teams and provide informed challenge on technical approaches
Experience managing technology delivery through tools such as JIRA — tracking enhancements, bugs, and data delivery activities through to completion
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate complex data scenarios, identify data quality issues, and develop practical solutions
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills — able to present complex data concepts clearly and concisely to senior audiences and translate business needs into actionable data requirements
Knowledge of or experience with AI tools, GenAI platforms, or automation technologies and their application to reporting and data workflow automation
Education
Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience. Master's Preferred
