Role Description
The Vice President of Products is a full-time, remote role responsible for defining and driving the overall product vision, strategy, and roadmap. This position oversees the end-to-end product lifecycle, from market research and concept development through launch, iteration, and retirement. Day-to-day responsibilities include leading and mentoring product management teams, aligning product initiatives with business goals, and partnering with engineering, design, marketing, sales, and customer success to deliver impactful releases. The role involves analyzing market trends and product performance, prioritizing features based on data and customer feedback, and ensuring consistent, high-quality execution across all product lines. The Vice President of Products also plays a key role in executive-level planning, stakeholder communication, and fostering a culture of customer-centric innovation.
Qualifications
Ability to define and execute Product Strategy, including long-term vision, portfolio management, and roadmap prioritization.
Strong Analytical Skills to interpret market data, product usage metrics, and financial performance for informed decision-making.
Extensive experience in Product Management, covering discovery, requirements definition, stakeholder alignment, and lifecycle ownership.
Demonstrated Cross-functional Team Leadership skills, collaborating effectively with engineering, design, marketing, sales, and operations.
Proven Product Development experience, guiding products from concept to launch and optimizing based on feedback and results.
Background in senior product leadership roles, ideally at the Director level or above, with responsibility for multiple product lines.
Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence at executive and team levels.
Experience building and managing distributed or remote teams, with emphasis on clear goals and outcomes.
Bachelor’s degree in business, technology, or a related field; an advanced degree (MBA or similar) is beneficial.
Familiarity with agile methodologies, product discovery practices, and customer-centric design approaches.
