Stage Vacature Aralez
Periode: Februari t/m juni 2023
Aantal Uren: 16-32 uur per week.
Omschrijving
Aralez is een stichting die zich bezighoudt met dekolonisatie in de breedste zin van het woord en geheel wordt gerund door vrijwilligers. Hierbij houden we ons bezig met het herstel van koloniale schade, koloniale geschiedenis en hedendaags neo-kolonialisme. Als stichting zetten we ons in op het gebied van educatie en bewustwording. Daarnaast ontwikkelen we diverse projecten zoals de Decolonial Learning Sessions, Arts of Resistance en Indigenous Liberation waarbij we campagne voeren, demonstraties opzetten, events organiseren en trainingen opzetten. Tijdens de stage zul je dan ook betrokken zijn bij verschillende projecten en soorten evenementen.
Werkzaamheden
Tijdens de stage zal je ons ondersteunen bij community organizing, leer je hoe je evenementen en activiteiten moet opzetten en onderhoud je onze (social) media kanalen. Daarnaast zal je betrokken zijn bij diverse projecten en daar ondersteunen bij communicatie werkzaamheden en algemene organisatie. In het geval je studie een specifieke onderzoeksopdracht vereist voor een stage is het mogelijk om in afstemming met ons iets te ontwikkelen.Omdat we een stichting zijn met weinig middelen beschikken we niet over een kantoor of fysieke locatie en zal je dus zelfstandig moeten kunnen werken op afstand. Wel zullen we wekelijks een check-in verzorgen voor afstemming van de werkzaamheden en is het team flexibel bereikbaar voor vragen en/of begeleiding. Doordat we als stichting geen inkomen hebben, anders dan dat we op projectbasis subsidies aanvragen, kunnen we geen maandelijkse stagevergoeding aanbieden.

Description
Aralez is a grassroot foundation which focusses on decolonisation in its broadest sense. We are fully reliant on the voluntary efforts of our team members. Our team engages with reparation of colonial damage, colonial history and contemporary neo-colonialism. As an organisation we focus on education and increasement of awareness. Also, we continuously develop a wide arrange of projects, including our Decolonial Learning Sessions, Arts of Resistance and Indigenous Liberation. Herein we campaign, organise demonstrations, organise events and give trainings. During your internship you will be involved with different project and events.
Activities
During your internship you will support us with community organizing, learn how to organise events and activities and will manage our (social) media channels. Also, you will be involved with a wide arrange of projects to support us with communication and general organisationsal activities. If your study program requires a specific research assignement, we are more than able to develop one within the frames of our activities. Because we are a grassroot foundation we have little possessions, which means we don´t have an office or physical location to perform our activities. Therefore, interns have to work independent and at distance. A weekly check-in is the main way in which the activities are coordinated, but our team members are flexible and easy to approach for questions or supervision. As a foundation we don´t have a stable income and are reliant project-based subsidies and donations. This means we can´t provide a monthly internship compensation.
Who are we searching for?
> Someone who aligns with the vision of Aralez
> Someone who can work independent and takes initiative
> Someone with organisational skills and has some experience with social media
> Experience or affinity with the topics surrounding Aralez is a plus
> Someone who likes to work community-based and has experience in a grassroots organisation is a plus
> being able to follow English & Dutch.
