Role Description The SVP, Controller is a full-time remote role responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial management, including accounting operations, financial reporting, and compliance. This role will lead the finance and accounting team, establish and maintain internal controls, and ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual closes. The SVP, Controller will partner with executive leadership to develop budgets and forecasts, support strategic decision-making, and provide insight into financial performance and risk. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing cash flow, supervising audits and tax filings, optimizing financial systems and processes, and implementing best practices for scaling a fast-growing, outcomes-focused organization.
Qualifications
Strong expertise in financial accounting, general ledger management, and financial reporting, including consolidation across entities.
Experience in budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial planning and analysis (FP&A).
Knowledge of regulatory compliance, internal controls, risk management, and audit processes (internal and external).
Proficiency with modern accounting and ERP systems, financial dashboards, and process automation tools.
Demonstrated leadership skills, including building and mentoring high-performing finance teams in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to partner with cross-functional leaders, communicate complex financial information clearly, and support strategic growth initiatives.
Relevant professional qualifications such as CPA, CA, CMA, or equivalent are strongly preferred.
Significant experience (typically 10+ years) in senior finance roles, ideally within high-growth, tech-enabled, or agency/growth consulting organizations.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
