The Role
We are seeking a Network Engineer / Telecommunications Specialist / Telecommunications Engineer to support network infrastructure, telecommunications systems, technical coordination, and service performance. The role combines technical problem-solving with project coordination and stakeholder communication, making it suitable for an experienced professional who can work independently while collaborating with distributed technology teams.
Key Responsibilities
Design, implement, maintain, and optimize network and telecommunications solutions.
Monitor network performance, connectivity, availability, and service reliability.
Review network architectures, technical requirements, configurations, and documentation.
Troubleshoot connectivity, infrastructure, and telecommunications issues.
Coordinate network upgrades, installations, migrations, and technology improvement projects.
Work with internal teams, vendors, service providers, and technical stakeholders.
Identify infrastructure risks and recommend practical solutions to improve performance and reliability.
Maintain accurate network diagrams, technical records, configuration documentation, and reports.
Support security, access control, backup connectivity, and operational continuity requirements.
Provide technical guidance and contribute to infrastructure planning and continuous improvement.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in Telecommunications, Network Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
3+ years of professional experience in networking, telecommunications, or infrastructure engineering is preferred.
Strong understanding of network architecture, connectivity, routing, switching, and telecommunications principles.
Knowledge of wired and wireless networking, network services, and communications infrastructure.
Familiarity with network monitoring, troubleshooting, performance analysis, and technical documentation.
Understanding of network security, availability, reliability, and access management concepts.
Proficiency in analyzing technical issues and developing practical solutions.
Strong project coordination, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to collaborate with vendors and geographically distributed technical teams.
Ability to manage technical priorities independently within a part-time remote environment.
