Structural Steel Business Development Manager

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Business Development professional to develop new business opportunities and build long-term relationships within the structural steel industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of large and complex structural steel projects, including data centers, airports, e-commerce facilities, stadiums, high-rises, and other major commercial projects.
This is a remote position with travel required to meet with customers, attend industry events, and develop new business opportunities.
Responsibilities
Develop and maintain relationships with general contractors, construction managers, developers, and other key industry contacts
Identify and pursue new structural steel project opportunities
Build and manage a pipeline of potential projects and customers
Track upcoming projects and engage with clients early in the procurement process
Prepare and deliver proposals, presentations, and project information
Work closely with estimating, operations, and project management teams to develop opportunities
Attend customer meetings, industry events, and project meetings as needed
Maintain strong relationships with existing customers while expanding the company's market presence
Qualifications
5+ years of experience in structural steel business development, sales, estimating, or project management
Strong understanding of structural steel fabrication and erection
Experience with large-scale and complex projects such as:
Data centers
Airports
E-commerce facilities
Stadiums
High-rise buildings
Large commercial and industrial facilities
Established relationships within the construction industry preferred
Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
Willingness to travel regularly
