Dispatcher

Overview:
We are seeking a smart, reliable, and highly organized Dispatcher to join our team. This role is critical in ensuring efficient daily operations by coordinating service calls, managing schedules, and optimizing routing. The ideal candidate has prior experience working in a fast-paced, service-based environment, with a strong understanding of dispatching operations—preferably within the New York market.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate and dispatch service technicians to job sites in an efficient and timely manner
Plan and optimize daily routes to maximize productivity and minimize travel time
Manage scheduling, including new service requests, rescheduling, and emergency calls
Act as the main point of contact between customers and field staff
Monitor job progress and provide real-time updates to clients and internal teams
Handle high call and message volumes with professionalism and urgency
Maintain accurate records of jobs, schedules, and service details
Proactively identify scheduling conflicts and resolve issues quickly
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Dispatcher in a service-based industry
Familiarity with routing and scheduling best practices
Experience working with New York-based operations or markets is strongly preferred
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment
Tech-savvy, with experience using dispatching or scheduling software
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience coordinating field service teams (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, etc.)
Knowledge of geographic routing within New York and surrounding areas
Strong customer service background
Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM EST
