Role Description The Principal Investigator – Part Time (Contingent upon award) will lead research activities related to Pulse Patch, Inc.’s monitoring technology for subjects in custody. This contract, remote role includes designing study protocols, obtaining necessary approvals, and overseeing data collection and analysis. The Principal Investigator will ensure compliance with ethical standards, regulatory requirements, and applicable institutional review processes. Day-to-day responsibilities include supervising research staff or partners, managing timelines and deliverables, preparing reports and manuscripts, and collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders. The individual will also contribute to grant applications, project budgeting, and ongoing refinement of research methodologies to support product validation and imp
rovement.
Qualifications
Demonstrated experience leading research projects as a Principal Investigator or Co-Investigator, preferably in healthcare, public health, corrections, or related fields.
Strong background in study design, data analysis, and interpretation of quantitative and/or qualitative research findings.
Knowledge of ethical research practices, human subjects protections, and regulatory frameworks (e.g., IRB processes, HIPAA, or equivalent).
Effective written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare technical reports, grant proposals, and peer-reviewed publications.
Proven ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage multiple priorities, and meet project deadlines.
Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and external partners such as agencies, institutions, or community organizations.
Advanced degree (e.g., PhD, MD, DrPH, or equivalent) in a relevant field such as medicine, public health, psychology, criminology, or biomedical engineering is highly beneficial.
Familiarity with technology-based health monitoring solutions or digital health research is a plus.
