Role Description The Vice President of Market Analysis at Distribuidora Valor - SDVM, S.A. is a full-time, remote role responsible for leading market intelligence, pricing insights, and strategic forecasting to support executive decision-making. This role oversees the collection, analysis, and interpretation of market, customer, and competitor data, translating findings into clear recommendations for sales, trading, and finance teams. The Vice President will design and manage analytical frameworks, dashboards, and reporting processes, while coordinating cross-functional projects that enhance market positioning and profitability. Daily responsibilities include reviewing performance metrics, guiding research initiatives, mentoring analysts, presenting findings to senior leadership, and collaborating with commercial and operational teams to refine go-to-market strategies.
Qualifications
Strong analytical skills with experience in quantitative analysis, data interpretation, and building decision-support models.
Solid finance knowledge, including pricing, margin analysis, budgeting, and financial forecasting.
Background in sales and commercial strategy, with the ability to align market insights to revenue growth initiatives.
Experience with trading environments or market-driven operations, including understanding of risk, volatility, and market dynamics.
Proven project management skills, with a track record of leading cross-functional initiatives from planning through execution.
Advanced proficiency in data and business intelligence tools (e.g., Excel, BI platforms, statistical software) and comfort working with large data sets.
Strong communication and presentation abilities, capable of conveying complex insights clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Leadership experience in building, coaching, and managing analytical or strategy teams in a remote environment.
Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Business, Data Science, or a related field; a graduate degree (MBA or similar) is an advantage.
Fluency in written and spoken English; additional language skills are beneficial depending on market coverage.
