As a People Business Partner , you’ll serve as a strategic and operational partner to our Retail Operations team, helping to strengthen employee engagement, morale, and retention while guiding leaders in HR practices and compliance. You’ll collaborate with business leaders to drive leadership development, change management, and data-informed decision-making to create meaningful and lasting impact across our stores.

Location/Schedule
This position is based out of Salt Lake City, Utah, with approximately 40% travel within the Oklahoma market. Candidates may also reside outside of the assigned markets, provided they are able to meet the travel requirements.
What You’ll Do In This Role
Serve as both a strategic and operational business partner, providing support to the Retail Operations team. Focus on enhancing work relationships, boosting morale, and increasing retention
Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues, approve disciplinary actions, and conducts effective, thorough, timely, and objective investigations
Responsible for the interpretation of HR policies and processes, while ensuring compliance with the company policies and procedures
Collaborate with business leaders to identify priorities and translate business requirements into effective HR practices, delivering solutions that align with organizational objectives
Support Store Leaders with the administration of benefits, FMLA, LOA, and ADA compliance
Contribute to the development and implementation of change management strategies that support the critical evolution of the business, ensuring the achievement of sustainable and long-term business results
Proactively identify areas of opportunity to provide leadership development and training
Analyze HR data and metrics to identify trends and provide insights to management for decision-making and strategic planning
Duties and responsibilities, as required by business necessity may be added, deleted, or changed at any time at the discretion of management, formally or informally, either verbally or in writing. Scheduling and shift assignments and work location may be changed at any time, as required by business necessity.
You’ll be a great fit for this adventure if you have:
3+ years progressive Human Resources, Business Partner, and Employee relations experience
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel
Experience with HRIS systems, preferably UKG
Bonus Points If You Also Bring
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or Communication preferred.
PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certifications, preferred
Compensation & Benefits
Pay Range:$85,000-$95,000 + DOE and Bonus Opportunities
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Maverik considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers, such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidates experience, education, skills, and current market conditions.
