Role Description The Wildlife Removal Technician and Snake Wrangler is a full-time, mobile role based in San Diego, CA. This position involves responding to service calls, safely capturing and removing wildlife (including snakes), in accordance with all regulations, laws and company policies. Daily tasks include inspecting properties, identifying wildlife entry points, setting and monitoring traps, performing exclusion and minor repair work, and documenting all activities and findings. The technician communicates with customers to explain findings, recommend solutions, provide estimates, and offer preventive guidance to reduce future wildlife issues. The role requires working outdoors in varied conditions, handling tools and equipment, and following safety protocols while collaborating with team members and office staff.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess skills and experience in wildlife handling, wildlife management, or related fields.
Candidates should possess practical trapping and field operations skills, including safe use of traps and related equipment but we are willing to train the right candidate.
Candidates should be comfortable handling animals and willing learn proper safety techniques for each animal we work with.
Candidates should possess strong communication skills to interact with customers, explain services, and work effectively with team members .
Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and ability to travel locally to customer sites.
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather, lift and carry equipment, and safely handle wildlife, including snakes (training provided).
High school diploma or equivalent; additional training or certification in wildlife control, construction, and an interest in the outdoors (hunting, fishing, etc.) is beneficial.
Comfort with basic tools, minor repair work, and adherence to safety and regulatory guidelines.
