BIOTRONIK is expanding its Field Clinical Specialist team across the United States and is seeking motivated new graduates interested in launching a career in the medical device industry.
As an Associate Field Clinical Specialist (Associate FCS), you will provide technical and clinical support within an assigned territory while working directly with physicians, patients, and other healthcare professionals in hospital and clinical settings. You will support BIOTRONIK's cardiac rhythm management technologies, including pacemakers and implantable cardioverter-defibrillators (ICDs).
In this entry-level role, you will participate in a comprehensive yearlong training program that combines classroom instruction, hands-on learning, mentorship, and supervised clinical experience. The program is designed to help you develop the knowledge and skills needed to earn required certifications, support positive patient outcomes, and build a successful career in the medical device industry.
This opportunity is ideal for students graduating between December 2026 and June 2027 who are prepared to begin full-time employment following graduation. Opportunities may be available in markets across the United States, and a willingness to relocate is a plus.

Responsibilities
Support pacemaker and ICD implants, follow-up visits, clinical checks, and troubleshooting for BIOTRONIK patients and physician customers within an assigned territory.
Work under the guidance of certified team members until fully certified on the applicable product line. Independent clinical coverage is not permitted until the required product-specific certification has been obtained.
Develop and maintain technical knowledge of cardiac pacing, defibrillation, electrophysiology, and BIOTRONIK's bradycardia and tachycardia product lines.
Develop knowledge of competitive products, including their features, functions, and clinical benefits.
Participate actively in classroom instruction, field training, mentorship, supervised cases, and ongoing skills assessments.
Demonstrate technical proficiency and complete all required training and certifications within established timelines.
Provide education and in-service training to physicians, nurses, and technical hospital staff as experience and certification progress.
Accurately complete all required documentation associated with implants, clinic visits, follow-up checks, and other clinical activities.
Provide technical and administrative support for clinical and scientific studies, including data collection and support for clinical sites and patients, when required.
Assist local Sales Representatives and provide implant and follow-up coverage when needed.
Upon certification in applicable product lines, participate in an on-call rotation that provides 24-hour, seven-day-a-week territory coverage, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Travel within and outside the assigned territory for training, cross-coverage, emergency coverage, and other business needs.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Your Profile
Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering, Kinesiology, Exercise Science, Biology, or another related science-based discipline.
Interest in working directly with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
Interest in developing clinical and technical expertise in cardiac rhythm management technologies.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to develop confidence explaining complex therapies and technologies.
Professional appearance and demeanor.
Demonstrated reliability, organization, attention to detail, and willingness to learn.
Ability to receive coaching, ask questions, and apply feedback while developing clinical and technical skills.
Ability to successfully complete all required classroom training, field training, supervised cases, skills assessments, and certification requirements within established timelines.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Travel/Availability Requirements
Available to begin full-time employment following graduation, based on candidate availability and territory needs.
Upon applicable certification, able to participate in an on-call rotation providing 24-hour, seven-day-a-week territory coverage, including holidays, weekends, and evenings.
Available and willing to work and travel during evenings and weekends as business needs require.
Able to travel within and outside the assigned territory for training, clinical coverage, and other business needs.
Able to drive approximately 80% of the time within the assigned territory.
Must possess a valid driver's license, maintain an active vehicle insurance policy, and have a safe driving record.
Able to maintain continuous verbal and written communication while working in the field.

Frequent 2-handed lifting of up to 40 lbs. from floor to chair/table and from one to another surface at approximately the same level.
Sitting, standing and/or walking for up to eight plus hours per day.

Frequently required to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls.
Ability to effectively use a mobile phone, PC, keyboard and mouse.
Frequent bending/stooping, squatting and balance.
