Role Description The Senior Accountant / CFO Support Analyst (Remote – India) is a full-time role responsible for supporting CFOs and senior leadership with high-quality financial analysis, reporting, and accounting services for small business clients. Day-to-day tasks include preparing and reviewing financial statements, managing general ledger activities, performing reconciliations, and assisting with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow analysis. The role also involves providing insights on financial performance, supporting month-end and year-end close processes, and contributing to internal controls and compliance procedures. The analyst will collaborate virtually with North American teams and clients, participate in process improvements, and help leverage digital tools and data to enhance financial decision-making. This is a remote role based in India, requiring strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively across time zones.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong financial accounting and reporting skills, including experience with general ledger management, financial statement preparation, and reconciliations.
Candidates should possess skills in financial analysis and planning, such as budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and cash flow management.
Candidates should possess proficiency with accounting and ERP software, spreadsheets, and data analysis tools, along with comfort working in digital and cloud-based environments.
Candidates should possess knowledge of relevant accounting standards and compliance requirements, as well as a solid understanding of internal controls and audit support.
Candidates should possess strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills to work effectively with CFOs, clients, and cross-border teams.
Candidates should possess the ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines across different time zones.
Relevant qualifications such as a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; professional certifications
Experience supporting small businesses or working in a consulting, outsourcing, or shared services environment is an advantage.
Role Details
Location: Remote, Jaipur
Employment type: Full-time preferred; strong part-time candidates may be considered initially
Working hours: Primarily India daytime hours, with availability for occasional overlap with Pacific Time / Canada team meetings
Salary: Competitive based on experience and demonstrated capability and as per industry benchmark
Probation: 3 months, followed by a performance and compensation review
Start date: As soon as possible
