Position Overview
We are seeking a highly organized, analytical, and proactive Director of Marketing & Lead Operations to take ownership of our marketing strategy, lead-generation efforts, CRM performance, and alignment between marketing, the call center, and sales.
This will be the company’s key marketing position. Initially, the Director will work both strategically and hands-on, with the opportunity to build and lead a larger marketing team as the company grows. The ideal candidate takes initiative, identifies opportunities, solves problems, and moves projects forward without waiting for step-by-step direction.
This position will also provide strategic oversight of the call center. A Call Center Supervisor will manage daily call-center activities and team execution, while the Director will work closely with the Supervisor to ensure lead-management processes, scripts, workflows, and performance standards support the company’s goals and vision.
Key ResponsibilitiesMarketing Strategy and Leadership
Develop and execute annual and quarterly marketing plans aligned with company revenue goals, sales capacity, seasonality, service areas, and growth objectives.
Lead the company’s overall marketing strategy, balancing long-term planning with hands-on execution.
Identify new marketing opportunities, customer segments, service areas, partnerships, and channels that support company growth.
Monitor competitors, customer behavior, industry trends, and market conditions to inform marketing decisions.
Collaborate with leadership and other departments to ensure marketing priorities remain aligned with company goals.
Digital Marketing and Lead Generation
Manage digital marketing channels, including Facebook and Instagram advertising, Google Ads, SEO, email marketing, and website initiatives.
Develop strategies that consistently generate qualified leads and sales opportunities.
Oversee campaign planning, audience targeting, offers, creative direction, landing pages, and lead-capture processes.
Establish an ongoing testing strategy for advertising creative, messaging, audiences, offers, landing pages, and follow-up campaigns.
Monitor lead quality and outcomes by marketing source, using feedback from the call center and sales team to improve campaign performance.
Manage relationships with third-party agencies, freelancers, media partners, and marketing vendors.
Hold outside partners accountable for agreed-upon deliverables, performance goals, timelines, and budgets.
Budgeting, Analytics, and Reporting
Develop and manage the marketing budget, including forecasting expected lead volume, costs, demos, sales, and revenue.
Allocate marketing resources toward the channels and initiatives producing the strongest results.
Analyze marketing, call-center, CRM, and sales data to identify trends, performance gaps, and growth opportunities.
Provide leadership with regular reporting, insights, forecasts, and strategic recommendations.
Ensure marketing decisions are based on reliable data, business priorities, and return on investment.
Track performance from the original lead source through appointment, demo, sale, and revenue.
Maintain accurate lead attribution and data integrity across marketing platforms, the CRM, and internal reporting systems.
CRM Ownership and Optimization
Serve as the primary business owner of the company’s CRM system.
Ensure the CRM effectively supports marketing, call-center, sales, and operational teams.
Optimize lead routing, pipelines, workflows, automations, notifications, integrations, and follow-up sequences.
Support CRM users across all departments by troubleshooting issues, improving processes, and coordinating technical assistance when needed.
Ensure leads are accurately tracked, assigned, contacted, and moved through each stage of the customer journey.
Develop and maintain CRM procedures, training materials, and reporting standards.
Evaluate marketing and lead-management technology, including integrations, phone systems, tracking tools, and automation platforms.
Call-Center Strategy and Alignment
Provide strategic oversight of the call center while the Call Center Supervisor manages daily operations, scheduling, coaching, and team execution.
Partner with the Call Center Supervisor to ensure lead response, appointment-setting practices, and customer communication align with company goals and brand standards.
Collaborate with the Call Center Supervisor to develop and refine scripts, workflows, follow-up procedures, and performance expectations.
Set call-center goals and monitor results with the Supervisor, using performance data to identify areas for improvement.
Provide the Call Center Supervisor with the strategy, tools, reporting, and support needed to successfully execute call-center initiatives.
Create alignment between marketing campaigns, CRM processes, lead intake, call-center follow-up, appointment setting, demos, and sales.
Use call-center and sales feedback to improve lead quality, campaign messaging, targeting, and the overall customer journey.
Ensure the call center has advance visibility into promotions, campaign changes, lead-volume expectations, and messaging updates.
Brand, Content, and Customer Marketing
Maintain consistent brand messaging, visual standards, and customer experience across all marketing channels.
Oversee website content, social media, email marketing, project photography, testimonials, promotional campaigns, and marketing materials.
Manage and maintain the company website through a CMS such as WordPress, including content, landing pages, forms, and conversion paths.
Develop customer lifecycle strategies, including lead-nurture, reactivation, referral, review-generation, and past-customer campaigns.
Oversee online reputation initiatives across platforms such as Google, Yelp, and social media.
Ensure advertising, promotional offers, financing language, email, text messaging, and customer-data practices follow applicable company and regulatory requirements.
Key Performance Indicators
The Director of Marketing & Lead Operations will be accountable for monitoring and improving performance throughout the customer journey. Success will be evaluated using KPIs that include:
Lead-to-appointment conversion rate
Appointment-to-demo conversion rate
Demo-to-sale conversion rate
Cost per lead
Cost per appointment

The Director will be expected to identify performance gaps, recommend solutions, and work with the appropriate team leaders to implement strategies that improve marketing efficiency, call-center performance, sales opportunities, and revenue.
Qualifications
3+ years of marketing leadership experience.
Demonstrated success developing and managing marketing and lead-generation strategies.
Strong working knowledge of digital marketing channels, including Facebook and Instagram advertising, Google Ads, and SEO.
Experience using website content management systems, preferably WordPress.
Experience working with CRM platforms, preferably GoHighLevel.
Ability to optimize CRM workflows, support users, troubleshoot issues, and manage lead-tracking processes across multiple teams.
Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret marketing, call-center, CRM, sales, and revenue data.
Thorough understanding of marketing and sales-funnel KPIs, attribution, forecasting, and return on investment.
Proven ability to make strategic decisions based on performance data and business objectives.
Experience leading a team and managing third-party agencies, vendors, or contractors.
Experience partnering with or providing strategic oversight to a call center, lead-management team, or appointment-setting operation is strongly preferred.
Previous experience working successfully in a remote environment.
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities, projects, and deadlines.
