Associate Scientist

Be part of a growing team in a dynamic environment! The ideal candidate would perform high-throughput screening experiments involving various therapeutic targets in support of drug discovery. Lab responsibilities include assay execution, reagent preparation, and cross-functional group support if needed to support the Screening Group.
Associate Scientist Duties Include but are not Limited to the Following:
Executes 384-well microplate biochemical assay measuring interactions between small molecules and various target proteins
Utilizes liquid handling equipment such as ECHO, plate washers, V-preps, BRAVO, WELLJET and other liquid handling equipment to accommodate high-throughput screening operations
Prepares reagents, performs reagent QC, and chemistry-related calculations as needed
Maintain consumables as needed
Follow all SOPs as defined and communicated
Participation in and presentation at group laboratory meetings
Perform other duties as required and assigned
Conducts all activities in a safe and efficient manner. Adheres to site employee health and safety (EHS) requirements
Demonstrates and promotes the company vision
Performs other duties as assigned
Owns the accountability and responsibility of delivering to client needs and timeliness
Adjusts work hours as needed to meet deadlines
Basic Minimum Education Qualifications:
B.S. in biological or physical sciences
Basic Minimum Work Requirements:
Minimum 0-2 years of relevant industry experience in a laboratory setting
Ability to read and interpret documents, such as standard operating procedures and technical reports
Ability to perform analyses and data interpretation
Ability to multitask with organization and manage time effectively
Ability to solve practical problems and troubleshooting skills
Ability to work in a laboratory setting, according to the physical requirements of a laboratory role
Lab equipment and office computer/software proficiency
Above average oral and written communication skills
Demonstrates a positive attitude and capacity for team environment
Ability to troubleshoot and conduct small projects with minimal supervision
Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.
