Job Summary
Inspects construction projects to confirm that procedures and materials comply with plans and specifications.
Essential Functions
Ability to work in a field office setting
Operate standard office equipment
Read printed and digital materials
Communicate in person, over the telephone and digitally
Walk, stand, crawl, climb and stoop for extended periods of time to inspect work
Position will require work outside of normal work hours to meet project requirements and contractor’s schedule
Possessing an unsuspended and unrestricted driver’s license may be a condition of employment dependent upon work requirements
Coordinates closely with project team
Analyzes and evaluates issues and relevant factors as they relate to project plans and specifications
Work is determined with direct manager
Executes based on own judgement
Position will periodically require travel between project sites
Skills and Qualifications
Must have high school diploma or GED
ICC certifications desirable
Must be able to speak fluent English and write grammatically correct English.
This position requires a working knowledge of Office 365
Knowledge of construction processes and the ability to read and interpret plans and specification is required
Must be able to work both independently with minimal supervision as well as within a team atmosphere and manage multiple tasks and deadlines
Resolves issues based on clearly defined scenarios
Uses feedback to make and adapt decisions
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Must be able to traverse all areas of jobsite in all types of weather which may include walking, standing, climbing, crawling, reaching, bending and stooping for extended periods, to inspect work in progress and upon completion.
Must be able to climb ladders.
Must be able to enter confined spaces, with appropriate training.
