Role Description This is a full-time, hybrid leadership role based in the Pune Division, with flexibility for partial work from home. The role involves leading and growing Sapience Group’s presence and operations in India, Bangladesh, and Nepal, including developing and executing market strategies across agribusiness segments. Day-to-day responsibilities include overseeing client engagements, guiding market entry and expansion initiatives, and coordinating cross-functional teams to deliver consulting, regulatory, and digital solutions. The leader will build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, partners, regulators, and internal teams, ensuring high-quality delivery and alignment with Sapience Group’s core values. The role also includes P&L oversight for the region, talent development, and contributing to thought leadership on agribusiness and protein insufficiency in South Asia.
Qualifications
Strong leadership experience in agribusiness or related sectors (e.g., poultry, dairy, aqua, food chain, pharma) in India, Bangladesh, or Nepal, with a track record of driving growth and managing multi-country operations.
Proven capabilities in strategy development Key Accounts management,and market entry, including business planning, go-to-market design, and execution in complex or emerging markets.
Experience in commercial and customer-facing roles, including business development, key account management, and building long-term client partnerships.
Familiarity with regulatory frameworks, product registration, and compliance processes relevant to agribusiness and life sciences in South Asia.
Exposure to branding, marketing, and digital solutions that support market development and customer engagement.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively across cultures and functions.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including financial acumen, P&L management, and data-driven decision-making.
Ability to thrive in a hybrid work environment, demonstrating self-management, collaboration, and accountability across remote and on-site settings.
