Role Description The Mern Stack Developer will work full time in a remote capacity, designing, developing, and maintaining web applications using MongoDB, Express.js, React, and Node.js. Day-to-day responsibilities include building responsive user interfaces, implementing RESTful APIs, integrating databases, and ensuring application performance and security. The developer will collaborate with designers and other engineers to translate business requirements into technical solutions, participate in code reviews, and contribute to continuous improvement of development practices. The role also involves debugging and optimizing existing code, writing clean and well-documented code, and staying current with modern JavaScript frameworks and best practices.
Qualifications
Strong proficiency in MERN stack technologies, including MongoDB, Express.js, React, and Node.js.
Experience with front-end development using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and responsive design frameworks (e.g., Bootstrap or Tailwind).
Skills in building and consuming RESTful APIs, handling JSON data, and integrating third-party services.
Knowledge of version control and collaboration tools such as Git, GitHub, or GitLab.
Understanding of software development best practices, including testing, debugging, code review, and documentation.
Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage time effectively, and communicate clearly with distributed teams.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Experience with Agile methodologies, cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure), and basic DevOps practices is a plus.
