Full- Stack Platform Engineer

We are looking for a Full- Stack Platform Engineer to be a productive contributor to the product roadmap implementing new features, maintaining our shared packages and dependencies, and keeping our third-party integrations healthy while also providing independent daytime and early-evening coverage for ongoing operational work: running reports, reviewing vote-fraud data,executing deployments, and monitoring and scaling our AWS infrastructure ahead of and during high-traffic events.
Responsibilities
Design and develop new features end-to-end across the Next.js, React, and PostgreSQL stack.
Write automated tests for non-trivial functionality using Vitest or similar testing frameworks.
Contribute to technical design discussions and the ongoing product roadmap.
Maintain and improve the pnpm / Turborepo monorepo, including dependency upgrades, framework updates, and shared packages.
Build and maintain third-party integrations, including Stripe, Klaviyo, Strapi, and social login/OAuth providers.
Monitor integration health, troubleshoot webhook and callback failures, and adapt integrations to upstream API and SDK changes.
Manage content and configuration updates through the Strapi CMS across multiple brand instances.
Monitor AWS infrastructure for capacity, performance, errors, and overall application health using tools such as CloudWatch.
Assess infrastructure capacity ahead of major campaigns and proactively plan scaling to support traffic spikes.
Execute application and Lambda deployments through established CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, ECR, and ECS/Fargate.
Monitor releases, identify regressions, and safely execute rollbacks when required.
Provide hands-on technical support during competition round-close events, including monitoring, deployment/finalization activities, and real-time troubleshooting.
Prepare operational and business reports using SQL against PostgreSQL/Aurora databases.
Review voting-integrity data and investigate potential fraud signals with analytical rigor and sound judgment.
Communicate incidents, decisions, status updates, and technical handoffs clearly with the US business team and Argentina engineering team.
Take ownership of production issues and operational decisions independently, while recognizing when to escalate issues to the senior engineering team.
Requirements
5–8 years of professional software engineering experience, spanning both feature development and production operations.
Strong full-stack TypeScript, with demonstrated ability to design and ship features end-to-end in a modern React / Next.js codebase — not just make small edits.
Experience building and maintaining REST APIs and third-party integrations (e.g., payments, marketing/email, OAuth/social login, or comparable external systems), including handling webhooks and upstream API/SDK changes.
Experience with a relational database and an ORM, plus strong SQL — able to design schema changes and write and reason about non-trivial queries safely against a production database. (Drizzle a plus.)
Dependency / package management and framework-upgrade experience in a real codebase, ideally a monorepo (pnpm / Turborepo / Nx or similar).
Experience writing automated tests (Vitest, Jest, or similar).
Hands-on AWS operations experience, including several of: CloudWatch (logs & metrics), ECS / Fargate (or comparable container orchestration), autoscaling, ALB / load balancing, and RDS / Aurora (or comparable managed databases).
Comfort executing production deployments and understanding release/rollback and caching/CDN pitfalls.
Demonstrated production judgment and autonomy — a track record of owning bot features and production issues end-to-end, and knowing when to escalate.
Nice to have:
Experience operating and building on high-traffic, consumer-facing production Systems.
Direct experience with our stack: Drizzle ORM, Turborepo / pnpm workspaces, AWS
Lambda (Node/TypeScript), NextAuth, Zod, TailwindCSS / shadcn/ui.
Direct experience with Stripe, Klaviyo, or Strapi (or a comparable headless CMS).
Exposure to CloudFront / CDN, WAF, or edge-caching behavior.
Experience with payments flows and/or fraud / abuse review.
Experience working across time zones on a distributed team.
