Overview
Our organization is transforming the employee experience to enable more empowered, streamlined ways of working powered by ServiceNow and Workday. We are seeking an Instructional Designer to develop clear, engaging training materials that support diverse audiences in successfully adopting new system workflows, with a specific focus on Workday.
In this role, you will partner closely with functional leads to translate business processes and system functionality into simple, learner-centered content. Deliverables may include self-paced eLearning, job aids, videos, guides, and facilitator materials tailored to employees, people leaders, and HR. This position reports to the Change Management workstream within HR Talent Acquisition Operations.
Key Responsibilities
Design and build training materials for multiple audiences and learning needs.
Translate system functionality and processes into easy-to-understand, plain-language content.
Assist with creating and coordinating a global training delivery schedule.
Assist with creating and delivering a Train-the-Trainer program.
Apply adult learning principles to drive system adoption and confidence.
Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to ensure accuracy and relevance.
Qualifications & Experience
Minimum of 3 years of instructional design experience.
Strong experience in content creation, storyboarding, and asset development.
Proven ability to collaborate effectively with subject matter experts.
Familiarity with HR systems (Workday preferred) and business process training.
Strong writing skills focused on clarity, usability, and accessibility.
Experience with common learning tools (e.g., authoring tools, LMS, video, or digital learning platforms).
Experience with language translation processes for learning content.
Technical Skills
Mandatory: Proficiency with eLearning authoring tools (Articulate Rise 360 preferred) and Workday.
Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS).
Familiarity with video and screen-capture tools (e.g., Powtoon, Camtasia).
Experience with documentation and collaboration tools (e.g., Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Teams).
Preferred experience working within Workday training tenants or sandbox environments.
