The internship
This is an internship for students or recent graduates in Japan. You get real ownership from day one: your own region, your own pipeline and your own clients.
The role
There is no playbook for Japan yet. You write it.
Design the go-to-market strategy
Figure out which Japanese markets and segments to go after first, how 8x should be positioned across the region, and what the path from first deal to a repeatable engine looks like.
Build and run the outreach
Your own target list, your own email and LinkedIn sequences, your own calls. You find and close the first clients across Japan.
Own the client relationships
Keep the brands you close happy, growing and referring.
Launch local initiatives
Coordinate with the rest of the team on events, partnerships and communities that put 8x on the map across Japan. If you have an idea, you pitch it and we back it.
Report on what moves
Weekly numbers, an honest read of what is working, and a plan for next week.
You
Studying or recently graduated. You want real commercial experience alongside it.
Hungry. You want to prove you can build something, and you are not waiting for permission.
A fast learner. You ask for feedback instead of hiding from it, and you apply it the same day.
An owner. If a deal is stuck, you unstick it. If something is missing, you build it.
AI-native. You already use AI to get more done, or you will pick it up in a week. You look at a manual process and ask how to automate it.
Local. Fluent English and deeply familiar with Japanese market. You understand how brands across the region think, buy and talk.
Remote and flexible. You can be anywhere. You do not need to be based in a specific Southeast Asian country, but you need to know the region.
