Senior Linux Kernel Engineer

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Senior Linux Kernel Engineer with a strong background in Linux kernel porting, CVE vulnerability patching, and device driver development. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Yocto and system build processes. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment to enhance our product offerings and ensure system security.
Responsibilities
Port Linux kernel to various hardware platforms, ensuring compatibility and performance.
Identify, analyze, and patch CVE vulnerabilities in the Linux kernel and associated software.
Develop and maintain device drivers for various hardware components.
Utilize Yocto for building and customizing Linux distributions.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system requirements and specifications.
Conduct thorough testing and validation of kernel and driver changes.
Document processes, changes, and technical specifications for future reference.
Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers and team members.
Mandatory Skills
Proven experience in driver development for Linux systems.
Strong knowledge of Linux kernel architecture and internals.
Experience with CVE vulnerability assessment and patching.
Proficiency in Yocto and system build processes.
Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Git.
Preferred Skills
Experience with embedded systems and hardware interfaces.
Knowledge of real-time operating systems (RTOS).
Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python or Bash.
Experience with debugging tools and methodologies for kernel and driver development.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
3-5 years of relevant experience in Linux kernel development and driver programming.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
