What is the opportunity?

We are seeking non-medical Team Members to join our Disaster Assistance Response Team (DART). Through humanitarian work, the goal and purpose of Samaritan's Purse are to help people in Jesus' name and share the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
About The Disaster Assistance Response Team (DART)
DART members are contracted "on-call" employees. Their pay is activated when they are deployed to a response. Practically, this means they have careers and life circumstances separate from DART, but when Samaritan's Purse initiates a response, we call available DART members to respond and deploy. Because deployments can occur with little or no warning, DART members must maintain a flexible schedule and be prepared to deploy when needed. Deployments may take members to dangerous locations where living conditions are challenging, and workdays are long and demanding. Despite these challenges, Samaritan's Purse believes in being the first on the ground to serve and help those who have suffered through a catastrophic event in the name of Jesus Christ.
As a non-medical DART Member you will work in conjunction with Program Managers and a Team Leader to implement all aspects of disaster response activities in the immediate aftermath of a disaster. You will participate in the planning, development, execution, and monitoring of relief work activities in austere environments. We need individuals who seek to use their experience in accordance with Samaritan's Purse standards to serve those in need.
DART Members will have an opportunity to develop individual humanitarian skills in areas that include, but are not limited to:
Relief Item Distribution
Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene
Food Assistance or Nutrition
Shelter
Ministry
Security
Administrative Functions
Logistics
Finance
Operational Coordination
Leadership
What are the qualifications?
Serve with Excellence
As a qualified candidate, you will have the following skills and experience:
Maintains a personal relationship with Jesus Christ; is a consistent witness for Jesus Christ
2-5 years proven work experience in applicable career field(s) is desired
Bachelor's degree from 4-year college or university or technical training in specific field is desired
Available on short notice for immediate 3-4-week deployment, 1-2 times/year
Able to serve within a very fast-paced environment, 7 days/week for extended hours while on deployment
Able to work as a member of a team, particularly cross-culturally
Demonstrated travel, volunteer, or work experience in developing countries is desired
Willingness to work in unstable, insecure areas
