Vice President of Strategic Operations

Role Description The Vice President of Strategic Operations is a full-time, remote role responsible for leading and optimizing Hypernova Fund’s operational and strategic initiatives. This position oversees core business operations, including designing and improving processes that support investment activities, portfolio management, and internal collaboration. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing and executing strategic plans, managing cross-functional projects, and ensuring operational alignment with the fund’s long-term objectives. The role also involves monitoring financial performance, supporting P&L oversight, and identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency and scalability. The Vice President will work closely with senior leadership, investment professionals, and external partners to maintain high service standards and drive continuous improvement across the organization.
Qualifications
Strong operations management skills, with experience designing, implementing, and optimizing processes in a fast-paced or high-growth environment.
Demonstrated proficiency in P&L management, financial analysis, and budgeting to support data-driven decision-making and strategic resource allocation.
Experience in customer service, stakeholder management, or relationship-building, with the ability to maintain high standards of responsiveness and professionalism.
Proven strategic planning and project management capabilities, including the ability to set priorities, manage timelines, and coordinate cross-functional initiatives.
Background in venture capital, private equity, consulting, or relevant operational leadership roles; exposure to deep tech or space-related sectors is an advantage.
Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex information into clear recommendations.
Comfort working in a distributed, remote environment, with strong self-management, accountability, and collaboration skills.
Advanced degree or bachelor’s degree in business, finance, engineering, or a related field preferred, or equivalent practical experience.
