Vice President Information Technology

Company Description Our client, a healthcare organization located in the southeast US, is looking for its next Vice President of Information Technology. This is a role requiring a strong change leader!
Role Description The Vice President Information Technology is a full-time, remote role, with travel expected as required. This position is responsible for leading the overall technology vision, strategy, and execution, ensuring that IT initiatives align with business objectives and support long-term growth. Day-to-day responsibilities include overseeing IT operations, managing infrastructure and systems, guiding cybersecurity and data privacy practices, and supervising the helpdesk, IT vendors and service providers.
The role involves directing technology projects from planning through implementation, partnering with senior leadership on digital transformation efforts, and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, reliability, and patient experience. The Vice President Information Technology will lead and develop the IT team, establish policies and standards, manage budgets, and communicate clearly with stakeholders about technology priorities, risks, and performance.
A critical near-term initiative includes moving the organization to one tenant, reducing the complexity created through legacy organizations, acquisitions and disparate systems.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, Healthcare Administration, or a related field; equivalent combination of education and significant experience may be considered.
10+ years of progressive information technology leadership experience, including significant responsibility for enterprise technology operations.
5+ years of experience leading teams, vendors, and complex technology initiatives.
Demonstrated experience supporting multi-site and geographically dispersed operations.
Demonstrated experience consolidating complex or decentralized technology environments.
Strong experience with enterprise infrastructure, networking, Help Desk/service management, cybersecurity, Microsoft environments, and business-critical applications.
Demonstrated experience developing technology strategy, budgets, roadmaps, and capital plans.
Experience managing complex vendor relationships and technology contracts.
Strong executive communication, stakeholder management, project execution, and change leadership capabilities.
