Forward Deployed AI Engineer (Foundry) / LATAM

Come join our fast-paced team in a remote capacity as a Forward Deployed Applied AI Engineer. We help our enterprise clients harness AI and forward-thinking technology to solve critical operational challenges.
In this role, you will serve as a crucial technical liaison and engineer, working directly with client stakeholders to translate complex requirements into deployed AI solutions. You will analyze enterprise data workflows, build scalable data pipelines, and deploy production-ready AI models to drive continuous operational improvements.
You will operate across software engineering, AI systems, data architecture, and customer delivery. This is not a research, advisory, or prototype-only role: you will own the path from problem definition through architecture, build, production, adoption, and measurable outcomes.
English fluency is a MUST for this role! Only candidates with level C1 or C2 will be considered:

Responsibilities
Production AI Delivery: Own applied AI systems end-to-end, from discovery and architecture through deployment, adoption, and improvement.
Agentic Systems Engineering: Build agentic workflows, tool-use systems, orchestration, state management, and human-in-the-loop controls.
Model Evaluation & Scoping: Evaluate models for domain knowledge, security and technical performance against specific use cases.
Technology-Agnostic Architecture: Select platforms, infrastructure, and custom software based on quality, security, performance, latency, cost, and architectural control.
Semantic Architecture: Model business objects, relationships, events, permissions, actions, and workflows so AI systems understand how the enterprise operates.
Governance & Bounded Autonomy: Engineer permissions, approval thresholds, auditability, escalation paths and fallbacks.
Evaluation, Observability & AI Economics: Monitor quality, reliability, failure modes, latency, and cost, linking system performance to business outcomes.
Forward Deployed Discovery: Embed with client teams to develop domain understanding and translate operational reality into technical systems.
Requirements
Professional Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of experience in software engineering, data engineering, applied AI, or a forward-deployed engineering role.
Core Tech Stack: Strong proficiency in Python, PySpark, React, Palantir Foundry, and SQL for enterprise data manipulation and model implementation.
AI Implementation: Proven track record of delivering completed projects where you implemented AI/ML solutions to a measurable benefit.
Methodology Knowledge: Strong knowledge of modern software engineering methodologies, version control, and continuous integration workflows.
Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities when working with unstructured or complex enterprise datasets.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related technical field (or equivalent experience).
Preferred Experience
Enterprise Data Platforms: Experience in forward-deployed or customer-embedded engineering; agentic systems, RAG, evaluation, observability, or model routing; Palantir Foundry/AIP, or Databricks.
Cloud Infrastructure: Hands-on experience deploying AI systems on cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
