CACTUS is a remote-first organization and we embrace an accelerate from anywhere culture. For this critical role, we are looking for the candidate to be based in Mumbai. You may choose to work from home in Mumbai; however, you will be required to frequently travel to our Andheri East office for business requirements, meetings, or company/team events.
We are looking for a passionate HR professional with advanced Excel skills, excellent comprehension and strong analytical depth — ideally with a background in Compensation & Benefits or a COE analytics role — to join us as Manager, Compensation & Benefits!
As a Manager, Compensation & Benefits, you will be the custodian of HR data. This is an individual contributor and hands on role. You will own the gathering, cleaning, collating and converting of data into accurate reports and dashboards for leaders and stakeholders within the organization, and go beyond reporting to independently analyse the data and deliver insight leaders can act on. You will play a pivotal role as the reports, dashboards and analysis you own will enable leaders to make informed & data-driven decisions that will shape the future of Human Resources at CACTUS! You will report to the AVP, HR Operations & Administration.
Responsibilities
Partner with stakeholders to understand the problem statement or objective, and independently shape the right analytical approach.
Gather relevant data from various sources, databases, internal systems and combine data from multiple sources into a cohesive dataset using MS Excel.
Bring compensation & benefits context to HR analytics — support people cost, salary benchmarking and compensation revision cycle analysis with market and structural context from your COE background.
Ask the right questions, comprehend and use advanced Excel techniques such as pivots, validation automation, formulas, macros among others to analyze & interpret the data — going beyond the numbers to explain the 'why' behind the trends.
Own the creation and continuous improvement of various reports and dashboards such as headcount & attrition report, people cost reports, hiring & ad-hoc data reports etc.
Independently draw meaningful conclusions from the analysis, summarize key insights & recommendations, and partner with the AVP, HR Operations & Administration to present these to leaders and stakeholders.
Qualifications And Prerequisites
Bachelors in any discipline; bachelor's in engineering or mathematics, statistics is preferred.
Demonstrated expertise in using advanced Excel techniques.
Passionate about data with an affinity for numbers and metrics.
5–7 years of experience creating reports from scratch and analyzing HR-related data, with prior experience in a Compensation & Benefits function or COE strongly preferred.
Excellent comprehension skills & ability to ask the right questions, with a demonstrated track record of turning analysis into clear, actionable recommendations.
Strong attention to detail.
Good communication skills, with experience presenting insights confidently to leadership and stakeholders.
