Quality Assurance Analyst

QA ANALYST
Responsibilities:
Works with development and QA teams to plan, develop and execute the test for new systems implementation, enhancements, and production support projects.
Ensures applications function according to specified requirements.
Review and accurately interpret requirements, documents, models, diagram, use cases and scenarios. Uses this material in order to develop detailed, comprehensive test plans, test scenarios, and test cases.
Demonstrates a solid understanding of testing required based on business requirements.
Identifies task and prepares estimates for testing assignments\executes and documents planned test and results.
Reports and retest defects using identified defect management tool.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
Formal Education and/or Certification:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or equivalent
Length and Type of Job Relevant Experience:
At least 3 years exposure on Quality Assurance on Software Business Application development.
Highly proficient in software development process, in analyzing Business requirements for software projects and in developing software test plans.
Sufficient knowledge in testing methodologies.
Proficient in using tools like HPQC, Jira, and other testing tools.
Preferably with experience in Automation testing
Ability to implement improvements in QA process.
Proficient in MS Applications.
Ability to implement improvement in QA process.
Technical Skills & Qualifications
Proficiency in web-based languages: JavaScript, CSS, HTML;
Programming with databases: SQL Server, Oracle or MySQL;
Proficiency in using different testing Types and techniques.
Understands and can differentiate between testing types and identify the scope of each testing type (e.g. Unit Testing, System Testing, Parallel Testing, Integration Testing, etc)
Ability to design and develop a Project Test Plan (schedule and resourcing)
Has proven ability to logically sequence Test Cases/Scenarios for the most efficient testing schedule.
Has proven ability to correctly define scope of testing (high level)
Has proven ability to define the test objective and test criteria of a project.
Understands the entry and exit criteria for the different test phases.
Knowledge in Database Modeling.
Experience on object-oriented programming.
API knowledge
Desirable: Web or mobile application programing experience, ISTQB Certification.
Must be willing to work on shifting schedules / holidays / weekends.
