PMX Aviation Services LLC is seeking an experienced FAA A&P Mechanic / Pilot to join our statewide Aircraft on Ground (AOG) response team in Hawaii.
This is not a traditional hangar job.
Our technicians operate in a fast-paced field environment supporting aircraft throughout the Hawaiian Islands and, when required, across the Pacific. Every day is different, and our technicians are trusted to troubleshoot problems, make sound maintenance decisions, and get aircraft back in the air.
The ideal candidate is both an experienced corporate aircraft technician and a certificated pilot.
While aircraft maintenance is your primary responsibility, PMX operates company aircraft to rapidly move technicians, tools, parts, equipment, and other mission-critical resources between the Hawaiian Islands. The ability to think and operate as both a mechanic and a pilot is a major part of what makes our AOG model unique.
What You'll Work On
Our primary focus is business aviation, including:
Gulfstream aircraft
Bombardier Challenger aircraft
Bombardier Global aircraft
Dassault Falcon aircraft
But our work doesn't stop there.
PMX regularly supports turboprops, helicopters, piston aircraft, military operations, specialty aircraft, and other aircraft requiring maintenance support throughout Hawaii.
If it flies and a customer needs help, there is a good chance we'll be involved.

Responsibilities
You will be expected to:
Respond to AOG maintenance events throughout Hawaii
Troubleshoot complex aircraft systems independently
Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance
Perform inspections and aircraft repairs
Coordinate directly with aircraft owners, operators, flight crews, OEM technical support, and PMX dispatch
Produce accurate FAA-compliant maintenance documentation
Maintain a high level of professionalism and customer service
Travel throughout Hawaii as operational requirements dictate
Support aircraft throughout the South Pacific and East Asia when required
Maintain proficiency and eligibility as a certificated pilot
Minimum Qualifications
Candidates must have:
FAA Airframe & Powerplant Certificate
FAA Private Pilot Certificate or higher
Current FAA BasicMed qualification or FAA Medical Certificate
Valid driver's license
Ability to obtain and maintain airport SIDA/AOA credentials
Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
Strong communication and customer service skills
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Ability to travel throughout Hawaii and the Pacific region
Preferred Qualifications
We are particularly interested in candidates with:
5+ years of corporate aircraft maintenance experience
Previous AOG field maintenance experience
Gulfstream experience
Bombardier Challenger or Global experience
Dassault Falcon experience
Factory training on business aircraft
Inspection Authorization (IA)
Gulfstream experience is highly desired.
Candidates with substantial Bombardier CRJ experience are also encouraged to apply. Many CRJ systems, troubleshooting skills, and maintenance philosophies transfer well into the Bombardier business-aircraft environment.
