Job Summary
The Cerner Millennium Patient Accounting Analyst supports the implementation, configuration, maintenance, testing, troubleshooting, and optimization of Cerner Millennium Patient Accounting applications. The analyst works closely with Revenue Cycle, Patient Financial Services, Billing, HIM/Coding, Finance, and IT teams to ensure accurate patient billing and efficient revenue-cycle workflows.
Key Responsibilities
Configure and maintain Cerner Millennium Patient Accounting functionality.
Analyze and troubleshoot patient accounting, billing, claims, and account-related issues.
Support revenue-cycle workflows from charge capture through billing, claims, payment posting, and collections.
Gather business requirements from Revenue Cycle and financial stakeholders.
Translate business requirements into application configuration and functional specifications.
Perform system testing for enhancements, upgrades, fixes, and implementations.
Develop test scripts and validate results across different encounter and billing scenarios.
Investigate production incidents and perform root-cause analysis.
Manage work items, account issues, claim issues, and billing-related workflows.
Participate in application upgrades, implementations, conversions, and optimization projects.
Document current-state and future-state workflows.
Create configuration documentation, procedures, and knowledge articles.
Collaborate with technical teams, vendors, Revenue Cycle leadership, and end users.
Participate in change-management and implementation activities.
Provide application support and user assistance.
Support go-live activities and post-production stabilization.
Required Qualifications
5-7 years of Cerner Millennium Patient Accounting experience
Healthcare Revenue Cycle knowledge
Patient billing and claims knowledge
Charge capture and payment-posting concepts
Requirements gathering and business analysis
Application configuration
Testing and troubleshooting
Incident/problem management
SDLC/change-management experience
Strong documentation skills
Communication with business and technical teams
Ability to work independently and with cross-functional teams

Full-time employees will be eligible to contribute to a 401(k)-retirement account after successfully completing 90 days of employment.
Part-time employees will be eligible to contribute to a 401(k)-retirement account after completing 250 hours of worktime.
