JOB DESCRIPTION
The Group Executive President shall serve as the overall person in charge of hospital operations and management, responsible for implementing the hospital's annual plans, long-term plans, and development goals, as well as overseeing the day-to-day operational management of the hospital to ensure the delivery of high-quality services to patients. This role shall also be responsible for guiding and directing professionals across various departments to perform their respective functions effectively, including providing support to staff, organizing work efficiently, and resolving issues in a timely manner as they arise.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Education qualification: Master's degree or above in Healthcare Administration (MHA), Business Administration (MBA), Public Health (MPH), or a medically related field. A degree conferred by an accredited institution of higher education in the United States is highly preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 20 years of experience in the healthcare industry, with at least 8 years in senior executive leadership roles (e.g., Vice President, Chief Operating Officer, Executive President, or equivalent) within a large comprehensive hospital or health system. Requires a minimum of 5 years of management experience within U.S.-based healthcare institutions, demonstrating a strong understanding of U.S. healthcare management systems, quality standards, and modern operational models.
• Work duration requirement: Work no less than 9 months per year for a consecutive period of three years; continuity should be maintained to ensure effective hospital management.
• Professional Background: Possess a background in clinical medicine, nursing, hospital administration, or related fields; candidates with dual expertise in both clinical practice and hospital operations management are preferred; have hands-on experience in U.S. hospital JCI accreditation, quality improvement (QI/QA), patient safety, and related areas.
• Essential Technical & Presentation Skills: Proficient in various office software (especially PowerPoint presentation creation) and cross-border communication and collaboration platforms. Possesses exceptional summarization and reporting skills, capable of translating complex operational data and strategic plans into clear, professional reports. Must be able to confidently and efficiently deliver strategic presentations and operational reports to the Board of Directors, the CEO, and the team.
• Interpersonal Skills: Must possess exceptional cross-cultural communication and interpersonal skills. Able to effectively interact with bilingual teams, staff at all levels, key medical professionals, and external stakeholders. Highly sensitive to cultural differences and capable of navigating complex interpersonal and organizational dynamics in a cross-border management context.
• Basic Cognitive Abilities: Possesses strong strategic thinking and complex problem-solving capabilities. Able to maintain focus, rapidly mobilize resources, and make sound executive decisions when handling major operational crises or sudden public health emergencies.
JOB RESPONSIBILITES
Primary Duties
• Strategic & Cultural Leadership: Clearly identify the mission, values, and philosophy of Guolong Hospital (Ningxia & Shanghai). Direct and support staff in achieving organizational objectives, and advance hospital management to align with international standards.
• Strategic Implementation: Lead the formulation and implementation of the hospital's annual work plans, medium- and long-term development strategies. Translate strategic objectives into actionable operational plans and continuously monitor their effectiveness.
• Comprehensive Operations Management: Take full responsibility for daily operations, ensuring the delivery of safe, efficient, and high-quality medical services. Utilize modern management tools such as DRG/DIP payment systems and ERAS process management.
• Quality & Safety Control: Take full responsibility for hospital safety, quality, and patient satisfaction. Establish and improve quality management systems conforming to international standards, utilizing tools such as PDCA and RCA.
• Cross-Cultural Synergy: Coordinate US and Chinese management teams to facilitate the localization of advanced management concepts. Drive organizational change and establish efficient communication mechanisms within a multicultural environment.
• System Efficiency & Reporting: Ensure the operational efficiency of all support departments and the four major service centers. Regularly report operational status and quality metrics to the CEO of Guolong Hospital (Ningxia & Shanghai), providing recommendations for improvement.
Reporting Structure
Reporting Structure: As the Group Executive President, this role reports directly to the CEO of Guolong (Ningxia & Shanghai). The Executive Presidents of the two individual campuses (Yinchuan Guolong Hospital and Shanghai Guolong Hospital) will report directly to this position.
