About the Role

We're looking for Image Description Specialists to write rich, accurate descriptions of images that help cutting-edge AI systems learn to interpret and make sense of visual content.
This is a fully remote, flexible contract role open to anyone with strong observational skills and a clear, descriptive writing style. No background in photography, art, or AI is required — just a sharp eye and a commitment to doing good work.

What You'll Do
Write detailed, structured descriptions of images — capturing objects, scenes, actions, spatial relationships, and context
Identify and label key visual elements across a wide variety of image types, including photographs, illustrations, diagrams, and charts
Follow clear formatting guidelines to ensure consistency and quality across large image sets
Maintain high accuracy and attention to detail across high-volume batches
Work independently and asynchronously on your own schedule
Who You Are
Strong observational skills — you notice the details others miss
Clear, concise descriptive writing ability in English
Comfortable following structured guidelines and applying them consistently
Reliable and able to maintain quality and focus over time
Self-motivated and productive when working independently
No prior AI, photography, or art experience required
Nice to Have
Background in writing, editing, journalism, or communications
Experience with accessibility work, such as writing alt text for web content
Familiarity with annotation tools or content platforms
Interest in computer vision or AI development
