About the Role
What if your eye for detail could directly shape how AI understands the visual world? We're looking for Image Description Specialists to write clear, accurate, and richly detailed descriptions of images — helping cutting-edge AI systems learn to interpret everything they see.
This is a fully remote, flexible contract role open to anyone with strong observational skills and the ability to communicate what they see in writing. No photography, art, or AI background required — just a sharp eye and a commitment to quality.

What You'll Do
Write detailed, structured descriptions of images spanning a wide range of types — photos, illustrations, diagrams, charts, and more
Identify and describe key visual elements including objects, scenes, people, actions, and spatial relationships
Follow clear annotation guidelines to ensure consistent format, depth, and accuracy
Maintain high-quality output across large batches of images
Work independently and asynchronously on your own schedule
Who You Are
Strong observational skills — you notice what others miss
Clear, descriptive written communication in English
Detail-oriented and consistent, especially across repetitive tasks
Self-motivated and reliable when working independently
No art, photography, or AI experience required
Nice to Have
Background in writing, editing, journalism, or communications
Experience with visual content, graphic design, or media
Familiarity with annotation tools or AI data platforms
