Sr Electrical Engineer (Payload & Subcontracts)
Full-time: Salary + Benefits + Bonuses / Contractor
Work Status: US Citizen required.
Location: Remote, anywhere in USA
We are currently seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer (Payload & Subcontracts) to act as the primary technical liaison between our internal engineering team and external hardware suppliers.
In this position, rather than focusing on ground-up system design, you will take ownership of vendor management—specifically driving the procurement and delivery of a Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) Multi-Mission Payload (MMP) and a space clock module.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the MMP and space clock module subcontracts from initial vendor selection through final hardware delivery.
Draft, review, and deliver clear technical Statements of Work (SOWs) for external vendors.
Lead regular vendor status meetings to track schedule adherence, monitor progress, and swiftly clear technical roadblocks.
Provide necessary technical inputs regarding Power Supply CCAs, Software Defined Radios (SDR), and other COTS components.
Conduct rigorous technical reviews and provide actionable status updates to internal engineering stakeholders.
What We Are Looking For:
Proven background in Electrical Engineering or Systems Engineering.
Prior professional experience in technical vendor management, subcontract management, or project engineering.
Direct experience in the space industry, with specific expertise in Radar & Sensors, space payloads, and space-rated clock modules.
General familiarity with RF and Digital signals, power supplies, and COTS integrations
The anticipated annual base salary for this position is between $170,000 to $180,000, which also includes a comprehensive benefits package.
