Sales Engineer

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Sales Engineer role based in Hosur. The Sales Engineer will work closely with customers to understand their technical requirements, recommend appropriate YG-1 cutting tools and solutions, and support the sales process from initial inquiry through post-sale follow-up. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting product demonstrations, providing technical guidance on tool selection and applications, preparing quotations, and assisting in resolving technical issues at customer sites. The role also involves collaborating with the sales team to develop opportunities, maintaining strong relationships with key accounts, and providing feedback to internal teams on market needs and product performance. The Sales Engineer will document customer interactions, track opportunities, and contribute to continuous improvement of sales and support processes.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Sales Engineering and Technical Support skills to interpret customer requirements and provide effective tooling solutions.
Candidates should possess solid Sales and Customer Service skills to build long-term relationships and drive revenue growth.
Candidates should possess clear Communication skills to present technical concepts, prepare proposals, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
Relevant experience in cutting tools, machining, or metalworking industries is beneficial, along with familiarity with CNC operations and tooling applications.
A diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field is preferred, with proficiency in MS Office and basic CRM tools.
Candidates should be able to work on-site in Hosur, travel to customer locations as needed, manage multiple priorities, and operate safely in industrial environments.
