Role Description The Manager or Lead Fire and Safety will oversee all fire and safety activities at an on-site facility in Madhya Pradesh, India. This full-time role involves developing, implementing, and monitoring fire safety procedures, emergency response plans, and safety protocols in line with regulatory standards and organizational policies. The individual will conduct regular safety inspections, risk assessments, and audits; coordinate safety training programs; and ensure all fire protection systems and equipment are maintained and tested. Daily responsibilities include investigating safety incidents, preparing reports, recommending corrective actions, and collaborating with operations, maintenance, and management teams to improve safety performance. The role also requires staying current on applicable codes, standards, and best practices, and guiding teams to maintain a safe work environment.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong expertise in Occupational Health and Industrial Safety.
Candidates should possess skills in Safety Training and Environment Health and Safety (EHS).
Candidates should possess capabilities in Accident Investigation and incident reporting.
Relevant certifications or diplomas in Fire and Safety, Industrial Safety, EHS, or related fields are preferred.
Experience in managing safety programs within industrial, manufacturing, or large facility environments is beneficial.
Knowledge of national and local safety regulations, fire codes, and emergency response procedures is advantageous.
Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence safe work practices.
Ability to conduct risk assessments, interpret technical documentation, and implement practical safety controls.
