IT Analyst II (remote)

## About the Job
We are seeking an **IT Security Analyst II** for a remote contract position supporting information security risk management, governance, compliance, and Identity and Access Management (IAM) initiatives. The role works cross-functionally with information security teams, IT divisions, project teams, governance groups, and business stakeholders to identify, mitigate, monitor, and report security risks.
The position also supports security strategies, policies, standards, control assurance, risk response, and security-focused consulting across the organization.
## Key Responsibilities
* Collaborate with information security teams, IT divisions, and business stakeholders to identify, mitigate, resolve, and monitor information security risks.
* Support the acceptance and deferral of identified security risks.
* Provide guidance on mandatory and recommended security and IAM controls.
* Collaborate with project teams to interpret security risks identified during certification processes.
* Help define mitigating controls and develop remediation plans.
* Support security exception processes when appropriate.
* Maintain consistency across business-unit information protection programs.
* Manage information security risk identification, mitigation, acceptance, monitoring, and reporting processes.
* Collaborate with Governance, Risk, and Performance teams on security metrics and reporting.
* Plan, execute, and manage projects related to risk management, mitigation, response, compliance, control assurance, and user awareness.
* Help develop and drive security strategies, policies, and standards.
* Evaluate the effectiveness of security solutions and controls.
* Provide security-focused consultative support to the organization.
## Required Qualifications
* Experience with **Identity and Access Management (IAM)**.
* Clear understanding of **IT audit methodologies**.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Strong attention to detail with an analytical and problem-solving mindset.
* Ability to work effectively with Microsoft products, particularly **Microsoft Excel**.
* Familiarity with IAM tools.
* Knowledge of auditing, internal audit standards, fraud awareness, professional ethical standards, and enterprise risk management.
* Understanding of risk analysis and control assessment.
* Approximately **3 years of combined IT audit and security experience** with broad exposure to systems analysis, application development, database design and administration.
* At least **1 year of IT security experience**.
