Position Overview
The Vice President of Business Strategy will lead the development and execution of strategic priorities that support the company's long-term growth, operational performance, and market expansion.
This executive will work closely with senior leadership and business-unit leaders to evaluate market opportunities, develop strategic plans, improve business performance, and coordinate major initiatives across the organization.
The role is well suited for an experienced strategy, operations, financial services, fintech, or technology professional who can combine strategic analysis with practical execution.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute company-wide business strategies and strategic priorities.
Evaluate market trends, competitive developments, customer needs, and emerging business opportunities.
Work with senior leadership to translate company objectives into actionable operating plans.
Lead strategic planning cycles, business reviews, and performance assessments.
Identify opportunities for revenue growth, market expansion, operational improvement, and new business development.
Develop business cases and recommendations for major strategic initiatives.
Coordinate cross-functional projects involving Operations, Product, Technology, Finance, Risk, Compliance, and Business Development.
Monitor key business metrics and provide management with clear analysis and recommendations.
Assess potential partnerships, new markets, products, and strategic investments.
Support resource planning and prioritization across major business initiatives.
Establish frameworks for measuring the progress and results of strategic programs.
Present strategic recommendations and business updates to executive leadership.
Help improve organizational processes and operating models as the company grows.
Maintain awareness of industry developments and identify areas that may affect the company's strategy.
Lead selected high-priority initiatives from initial planning through implementation.
Qualifications
15+ years of experience in business strategy, strategic operations, management consulting, financial services, fintech, technology, or a related field.
5+ years of experience working in a leadership or senior management capacity.
Strong experience developing business strategies and translating them into practical plans.
Strong analytical, financial, and problem-solving skills.
Experience managing complex cross-functional initiatives.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Ability to work effectively with senior executives and functional leaders.
Strong understanding of business performance, market analysis, and operational planning.
Ability to manage multiple strategic priorities in a fast-moving business environment.
Preferred Background
Experience in financial services, capital markets, fintech, investment management, financial technology, trading platforms, or other technology-driven businesses is preferred. Experience with market expansion, strategic partnerships, corporate development, business transformation, or operating-model development is also valuable.
Leadership Scope
The Vice President of Business Strategy will work across the organization and may lead strategy managers, business analysts, project leaders, or cross-functional teams depending on organizational needs.

Reports to: Chief Executive Officer (CEO) or Chief Strategy Officer (CSO)
