Role Description The Assistant Marketing Officer is a full-time, on-site role based in Pantnagar. This position supports the planning and execution of marketing activities for seeds and agricultural products, including assisting in promotional campaigns and outreach programs. The role involves conducting basic market research, coordinating with sales teams and field staff, and helping manage communication with farmers, retailers, and other stakeholders. Daily tasks include preparing marketing materials, supporting social media and local advertising efforts, tracking campaign performance, and maintaining records and reports. The Assistant Marketing Officer also participates in events, exhibitions, and farmer meetings to strengthen the organization’s presence and brand in the region.
Qualifications
Market Research and Marketing skills to support campaign planning, product positioning, and analysis of customer needs.
Communication skills to interact effectively with farmers, retailers, colleagues, and external stakeholders.
Social Media Marketing skills to assist in managing online presence and promoting products through digital channels.
Sales skills to support field activities, product promotion, and relationship-building with distributors and customers.
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Agriculture, Business, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
Basic understanding of agricultural markets and seed products is preferred.
Ability to work on-site in Pantnagar, manage multiple tasks, and collaborate in a team environment.
Proficiency in MS Office and comfort with using digital tools for reporting and communication.
