Role Description The Executive Inspections role at SGS India is a full-time, on-site position based in Mumbai. The role involves conducting inspections at client sites to verify compliance with specified standards, regulations, and contractual requirements. Daily tasks include planning inspection schedules, reviewing documentation, performing visual and technical checks, recording findings, and preparing clear, accurate inspection reports. The Executive Inspections professional coordinates with internal teams and client representatives to clarify requirements, resolve discrepancies, and ensure timely completion of assignments. The role also includes following established safety protocols, maintaining inspection equipment, and supporting continuous improvement in inspection processes and quality assurance.
Qualifications
Strong observational, analytical, and documentation skills relevant to conducting inspections and preparing reports.
Ability to interpret technical specifications, standards, and regulatory requirements across relevant industries.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders on-site.
Good organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple inspections and meet deadlines.
Comfort with using digital tools for data entry, reporting, and basic documentation management.
Minimum of a diploma or bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, or a related technical field.
Prior experience in inspection, quality control, or audit functions is an advantage.
Willingness to travel locally as required and adhere to SGS safety and ethical standards at all times.
