Coordinator of Volunteers

Role Description The Construction Director at FFI - Fast Food Investments will oversee the planning, coordination, and delivery of construction projects for new and existing fast-food locations. This part-time, remote role involves leading project timelines, managing external contractors and consultants, and ensuring that construction work aligns with brand standards, safety regulations, and local codes. The Construction Director will review and approve design plans, monitor site progress through regular reports and virtual meetings, and resolve construction-related issues in collaboration with internal stakeholders. Day-to-day tasks include evaluating bids, supervising procurement of materials, tracking budgets and construction costs, and providing clear status updates to senior leadership. The role also includes developing and improving construction processes, maintaining documentation, and supporting strategic decisions on site selection and feasibility.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong budgeting and cost management skills to effectively plan, track, and control project expenditures.
Candidates should possess procurement expertise to manage vendor selection, negotiate contracts, and ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
Candidates should possess comprehensive construction management skills to oversee site development, scheduling, quality control, and compliance with safety and building regulations.
Candidates should possess civil engineering knowledge to interpret technical drawings, assess structural feasibility, and collaborate with architects and engineers.
Candidates should have experience leading multi-site or retail construction projects, preferably in fast-food or hospitality environments.
Candidates should demonstrate strong communication, stakeholder management, and remote collaboration skills.
Candidates should be skilled in project management tools and MS Office or similar software for reporting and documentation.
Candidates should ideally hold a bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil engineering, architecture, or a related field; equivalent practical experience will also be considered.
