Role Description This full-time, on-site Medical Laboratory Technician role is based in Mumbai. The Medical Laboratory Technician will perform routine and specialized laboratory tests on blood and other clinical samples, following established protocols and safety standards. Responsibilities include preparing specimens, operating and maintaining laboratory equipment, recording and verifying test results, and assisting with quality control procedures. The role involves collaborating with laboratory staff and supervisors to ensure accurate reporting, supporting efficient sample processing workflows, and contributing to continuous improvement of lab operations. The technician will also help maintain inventory of consumables and support adherence to regulatory and accreditation requirements.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Medical Technology and Laboratory Medicine skills, with a solid understanding of clinical testing processes.
Candidates should possess practical Laboratory Skills, including specimen handling, sample preparation, and adherence to safety and infection control protocols.
Candidates should possess Quality Control skills to monitor test accuracy, maintain documentation, and support compliance with regulatory standards.
Candidates should possess proficiency in using and maintaining Laboratory Equipment, including analyzers, centrifuges, and related diagnostic instruments.
Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or a related field from a recognized institution.
Relevant professional certification or registration as per local regulatory requirements (where applicable).
Strong attention to detail, ability to follow standardized procedures, and commitment to data integrity.
Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced laboratory environment.
Prior experience in a diagnostic laboratory setting, particularly in blood and RT-PCR testing, is an advantage.
